Aside from playing a leading role in Ben Marcus’ story in this issue “Somewhere Near Gettysburg: Tracer Trout along the Mason-Dixon,” (p. 074), Michael Marks is an artist, musician and outdoorsman currently pursuing his master’s degree in printmaking from the University of Delaware in Newark, DE.

After earning his bachelor of fine arts from the Cleveland Institute of Art, Michael served as the artist-in-residence for Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, Maine, which delivered the time and subject matter needed to hone both his art and his outdoor skills.
