Trained Sheep

Trained Sheep

Since there wasn't much in the way of a hatch the other afternoon, my friend sent in his trained sheep to kick up some larvae upstream so he could fish nymphs.  Owing to their pointy little feet, sheep work much better than cows for this process....

High Art

It's not only their pointy little feet. I read somewheres how anyone who fishes near sheep will tell you how they prefer a good sheep fertilizing the creek over the way your average sloppy cow goes about it. It's less pretentious, less self-conscious even. Sheep shy away from making a grand spectacle of the moment, thinking of it as more as subtle high-art. And I also read somewheres that sheep dew actually makes for healthier, more brawny nymphs, too. It was all right there on the Internet, so how could I question it?
