The Flyfish Journal accepts applications for editorial internships year round. The successful applicant will work under the direction of the Editor of The Flyfish Journal , carrying out day-to-day tasks essential to the title. Tasks may include anything from fact-checking and research to transcribing, packaging magazines for shipment and editing and authoring articles for both print and web. A successful applicant should possess the following qualities:

• A genuine love for flyfishing and knowledge of flyfish culture.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Good understanding of AP grammatical style.

Previously published works and editorial experience are an asset but not absolutely necessary.  Applicants are encouraged to apply with a resume, a cover letter describing why they want to work for us and a writing sample that best represents your style and abilities to hello@theflyfishjournal.com with the subject line Editorial Internship. Hours are flexible based on individual needs but interns will be asked to commit to a minimum of 10-15 hours a week. It is an unpaid internship for college credit. Interactive Design Interns:

The Flyfish Journal  is accepting applications for interactive design internships to start immediately. The successful applicant will work under the direction of the Art Director of The Flyfish Journal and its sister titles  The Snowboarder’s Journal and The Ski Journal carrying out day-to-day tasks essential to these three titles. Tasks will include anything from production for our digital editions, updating websites, creating maketing materials, video editing and designing for print A successful applicant should possess the following qualities:

• A genuine love for flyfishing, skiing and/or snowboarding and knowledge of flyfish culture.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Good understanding of graphic design basics and experience with the Adobe Creative Suite.

Hours are flexible based on individual needs but interns will be asked to commit to a minimum of 8-10 hours a week for a semester. It is an unpaid internship for college credit.
