“Stimulus” Series Flies
Brent Dawson of Warpath Flys sends us the unique inspiration behind his “Stimulus” series flies:
The fly shown is from rooster fishing in La Paz Mexico. The fish seemed to like red and white with some contrast and then the idea hit me: Every flag color on the earth but ours is fished these days and it sucks. To fix this problem I decided to come up with what is now called the Warpath “Stimulus” series, and they are designed to be a kick in the pants to the fish. Each one has a distinct action and rides a precise area in the water column. Maybe the fish are triggered by the convoluted color pattern, who knows. Remember, these colors don’t fade!
