Gary LaFontaine knew how important caddis can be to trout and other fish. He wrote the book.

Springtime can bring some of the thickest and best hatches of these bugs that are ever so important to healthy feeding patterns of fish.

FFJ contributor Drew Stoecklein and Lone Peak Outfitters caught a good run of Mothers Day caddis hatches on the Yellowstone River and put together a sweet little production full of the winged insects and plenty of trout slashes.
