Sportsmen For Browns Canyon

From TFFJ friend and CTU Greenbacks coordinator Kyle Perkins, comes this announcement and show of support for the designation of Browns Canyon as a national monument. For more information, please visit Sportsmen For Browns Canyon.

“Just today the Interior Department and Department of Agriculture announced that they will be hosting a public open house meeting on December 6th at 12:00 PM at the SteamPlant Event Center in Salida (220 W Sackett Ave, Salida, CO 81201). The focus of the meeting is for administrative staff to gauge public support for the designation of Browns Canyon as a National Monument.

After more than 20 years of ongoing work, the fate of protecting Browns’ gold medal fishing waters and rugged backcountry habitat could all boil down to the support we’re able to demonstrate at this one meeting.

It is crucial that we show-up and portray an accurate representation of the widespread support that the Browns Canyon National Monument has had for years now. Please consider joining us!

We have arranged free transportation for sportsmen and women that live on the front range, along with lunch, giveaways and adult beverages (afterwards of course) for all who join. Space is limited to 20, so please RSVP to Kyle Perkins if you would like to attend: kperkins@tu.org . We will plan on the Wolly Mammoth Parking Lot promptly at 8:30 AM (WB I-70 Exit 259 – Just across from the Dinosaur lot on 93 – 18560 US Hwy 40, Golden CO 80401 – see map). We will be returning shortly after the meeting is over and should be back to Denver by 6:00 PM.

Please let us know if you would be interested in providing some testimony at this meeting. “
