Salvelinus Fontinalis

A Film Poem By Todd Davis

Salvelinus fontinalis is a wonderful film poem by poet Todd Davis on the rambling streams he frequents in search of the often tiny, but always beautiful brook trout of the Allegheny Front.

The poem is from Todd’s latest book, Winterkill which “offers an unflinching portrait of the cycles of birth and death in the woods and streams of Pennsylvania, while never leaving behind the tragedies and joys of the human world. Fusing narrative and lyrical impulses, in his fifth book of poetry Davis seeks to address the living world through a lens of transformation.”

A much needed reprieve from current events in our timeline, thank you Todd.
