Anthropocene
Toronto International Film Festival Trailer
While not directly fishing related, the scale of human impact to planet earth depicted in the trio of films from photographer Edward Burtynsky and filmmaker Jennifer Baichwal should be enough to hold your attention and be on your watchlist if you haven’t seen them.
Their third film in the trilogy, Anthopocene will be world premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival September 6-16.
From the creators: “Jennifer Baichwal, Nicholas de Pencier, and Edward Burtynsky follow up Manufactured Landscapes and Watermark with a sobering meditation on psychedelic potash mines, expansive concrete seawalls, mammoth industrial machines, and other examples of humanity’s massive, destructive reengineering of the planet.”
