Lucas spearheaded the effort to strategically plant black mangroves in the Louisiana marsh, which are receding at an alarming rate, due upstream levees blocking the sediment flow into the Mississippi delta.

The film was shot by Bill Rodman, no relation to Dennis, for entry to the Orvis Down the Hatch Fly Fishing Festival.
