This film from Hooké follows Jean Phillip, a self-titled “fishing freak” and fishing guide, as he and some fishing buddies try to catch an Atlantic salmon on three of Quebec’s most beautiful rivers: the Darthmouth, the St. John and the York. “Every time I have a chance to get out and explore new rivers, I really get a thrill out of it,” says JP. “And when I have the opportunity to be guided by young people, by people who have a special kind of energy and who are new to the business, it’s always a special moment. It makes me realize that the guiding tradition in the Gaspésie is still going.”
