Bend in the Water by Gordon Lightfoot

Gordon Lightfoot’s gravelly vibrato has drifted across many a fish camp bonfire and late night fly tying session. Gord’s best known for songs like “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald,” “Sundown,” and “Song for a Winter’s Night.” In honor of the legendary Canadian musician, who died earlier this month, we share one of his lesser-known songs. It’s one about love and fishing on a “fine July beautiful night,” called “Bend in the Water.”
