Last Hurrah on the Klamath River
California Trout
From California Trout: “Catching the last days of the Iron Gate dam section of the Klamath River. Flows are projected to bump up to 3800 cfs on January 10, 2024. Water may become more turbid in the upper part of the river for a while. We are all hopeful for a brighter future for Klamath River salmon and steelhead!”
The Klamath river dams are coming down. Copco No. 2 was fully removed in October of 2023, Iron Gate(pictured in the video), JC Boyle and Copco No. 1 are all scheduled for removal to begin in January 2024.
