From Jim Klug at Yellow Dog Flyfishing: “From the pristine flats of the Indian Ocean to the jungles of South America, to wilderness rivers in Alaska and Kamchatka, angler and photographer Jim Klug has created a visually rich collection of some of the most stunning destinations and memorable images from a lifetime of global fishing and travel.
Anglers appreciate time spent on the water – be it a trip to the saltwater flats, a float down a freestone river, or a quick session on a hometown pond. Of course, catching fish is always a rewarding bonus. Yet the truly meaningful moments and biggest take-aways revolve around the places that fly fishing takes us. The people, landscapes, exposure to new cultures, and the journey itself collectively deliver the excitement and motivation that is the true ethos of adventure travel.
Waypoints: Flyfishing the World is a project that focuses on those places, with a stunning collection of images shot over three decades of exploring and fishing spectacular destinations. Anglers and travelers alike will relate to the images, the destinations, and the emotions captured in this new book. For those who have yet to begin their explorations, these photos will light a fire and motivate you to explore an exciting and exotic world connected by fishing, incredible waters, and profiles of adventure.”
