EPIC NORTH

Jason Van Bruggen's Arctic Art

Photographer Jason van Bruggen has built his considerable reputation traveling to and working in the most remote and austere places on the planet. In his photo gallery feature, van Bruggen travels to Canada’s Nunavut and the Northwest Territories—the very edge of the Arctic Circle. The fish are as large and plentiful as the lakes and rivers are big, and include the world’s largest lake trout and Arctic grayling; record northern pike, monster bull trout, walleye, whitefish, inconnu, burbot, and—if you go far enough north—Arctic char.
