“Liz Steketee is a fine art photographer, artist, and teacher from the Bay Area. She was educated at the San Francisco Art Institute where she grew an interest in digital photography and the ‘purposeful juxtaposition of images.’

Her published works include Castwork, a book of documentary black-and-white flyfishing imagery, contributions to The Drake, as well as commercial work for Simms Fishing, Swobo, and Voodoo bikes. Her work also has appeared in galleries throughout North America and Europe.

Liz notes that in her flyfishing photography, she’s interested in the ‘epic scenery of the everyday.’ Western river landscapes, not-so-large catches, and the thousands of color and light changes on the flats often become larger-than-life combinations. She likes the idea that fishing can become as ‘sweeping as memory allows.'”
